Rachel Kittredge Shipman, Esq. practices in the areas of Elder Law, Health Care, Estate Planning and real estate law. She has been a keynote speaker, featured panelist and lecturer for several conferences nationwide, including the National Conference for Women Corporate Counsel.

Ms. Shipman is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A. 1987 magna cum laude in International Relations 3-year accelerated graduation program) and Boston University School of Law (J.D. 1990 Member of National Appellate Advocacy Team). She began as a Judicial Clerk (1990-1991) and joined Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin (1991-1995). Most recently she served as Vice President/General Counsel-Apple Health Care, Inc. Avon, Conn. (1995-2009) before joining Shipman, Sosensky & Marks LLC.

She was awarded the Excellence in Corporate Practice Award and was a 1997 American Corporate Counsel Association finalist. Ms. Shipman was also recognized Connecticut Bar Association for service to Pro Bono clients.

Ms. Shipman is a resident of Simsbury. She is admitted to the Connecticut Bar, Massachusetts Bar, Rhode Island Bar and U.S. District Court. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
